Housing
Housing is either on the campus of TISS in a newly constructed student residence with shared bedrooms and bathroom facilities or in private facility close to the campus. Meals will be available in the dining hall on-campus.

The cost of the program for the 2009 Spring semester is $8,390. This includes

Program Director and On-site Advisors
Professor Leslie Miller-Bernal, Interim Dean of the College is the Program Director, overseeing academic development, assisting with the admissions process, and helping to structure pre-departure information. Professor Lakshmi is the Academic Director for the program. She is Chair of the Centre for Women's Studies at TISS and plays an important role in developing the academic program and assisting with the admissions process. A Resident Director at TISS will conduct orientation of the students and will manage the academic and cultural aspects of the

Orientation
The Gender and Development Studies Program will begin with a week long orientation in Mumbai. Students will be introduced to the city, and the TISS campus. Interactive discussions and tours will provide ample opportunity to explore this fascinating city of 17 million people.
